This image was photographed early
one morning in October of 2000 in the Great Smoky Mountains.
It was a bright, cool fall day. I photographed this image with
the Mamiya RZ67 using the Mamiya Sekor 50mm ULD lens
(tripod mounted & mirror up) on Kodak Portra 160 VC negative
film. This place is spellbinding and yet
majestic. On that day the place was vibrant with color
and yet seemed to exhibit a sense of quiet solitude. It's a place you don't want to leave.
I'm going back there this fall. |
