This image was
photographed in Yellowstone Canyon in June of 2002 using
the Mamiya RZ67 with the Mamiya Sekor 50mm ULD lens
(tripod mounted and mirror-up) on Kodak Portra 160VC
negative film. This composition I believe can allow one
to get just a glimpse of what those earlier explorers
must have sensed as they explored this region during our
nation's westward expansion. The scale, color and simple
majesty make this an awe inspiring place and I believe
that this composition does much to capture that
ambience. |
