There are few places which
possess such awe inspiring grandeur as this place. The
falls and Yellowstone Canyon certainly provoke a profound
sense of awe. This place has been the inspiration for
artists of all disciplines. Rudyard Kipling wrote with
passion about this region and painters and photographers
alike have spent great amounts of time studying and
recording it's beauty. In order to make this print I used
the RZ-67 with the Mamiya Sekor 500mm APO telephoto lens to
photograph this scene on Kodak Portra 160 VC negative film.
Every time I study this print or reflect on the time while I
was at the canyon I realize my inability to try to describe
such a scene. Therefore, I will have to let the print
speak for itself -- Soli Deo Gloria! |
